I thought I just posted this problem and reported it during the 201o baseball season. Firefox does not work well at the MLB.com web-site and several other news links. The Blue Text overwrites the pictures and content text and Windows Media Player does not work at all! I USE MLB.COM DAILY and must always use Internet Explorer! Tonight I followed the Groundhog Day link in Yahoo News, and could not see the text for the 1st paragraph!

I would rather not increase MICRO-SOFT'S profits or strangle hold on computer development. But Firefox has had OVER 700 questions on this topic! Is there a solution?

See:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See:

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
