Since I started using Firefox the text fonts are really, really thin and hard to read. So I went thru the questions & answers posted in the help forum. I found a very good answer - it says: Turn off hardware acceleration in Options. I cud not find it, so......

That preference isn't available in Firefox 3.6.x versions, it is a new preference / feature in Firefox 4.0.
