Greetings :) I've been having this problem since I installed Mozilla Firefox 4 Beta. I used to can open links in another tab without press the ctrl key but now all opened in another window. I didn't check the open in another window option and it keep pops out a new window that irritates me .

I've fix this problem myself 1. just go to about:config （copy and paste it on the address bar) 2. Press "I'll be careful, I promise" 3. search for window 4. Select those 2 mention in the pic 5. Right click and reset them :) 6. You're done!
