On the tab-bar in Firefox 4, the arrows that appear because there are so many tabs open that the tab-bar won't go away, even though I only have at the most 5 tabs open usually. I don't want them to be there when I don't need them. How do I get rid of them?

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
