I do not like the fact that I can't EASILY go back several pages while surfing. Help?

In the older version on each tab I could go back to the first thing I searched very easily by a dropdown from the back arrow. Now I have to go to history and it shows the last 10 (?) items from ALL tabs. It only allows you to go back one page from the arrow. I DO NOT LIKE THIS FEATURE! Unless I am doing something wrong. Any suggestions/help?

Right-click on the Back/Forward arrow for the drop-down list; the small drop-down arrow on the Back/Forward button has been removed. In the drop-down, the current position in that tab's history is "bolded" with the items above being "Back" and the items below being "Forward". As you move your cursor over the list of items you will see a Back ("<") or Forward (">") arrow to the left of each item.

You need to update the following:

  • Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 11.5
  • Next Generation Java Plug-in 1.6.0_22 for Mozilla browsers
  1. Check your plugin versions on either of the following links':
  2. Update Shockwave for Director
    • NOTE: this is not the same as Shockwave Flash; this installs the Shockwave Player.
    • Use Firefox to download and SAVE the installer to your hard drive from the link in the article below (Desktop is a good place so you can find it).
    • When the download is complete, exit Firefox (File > Exit)
    • locate and double-click in the installer you just downloaded, let the install complete.
    • Restart Firefox and check your plugins again.
    • Download link and more information: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Using+the+Shockwave+plugin+with+Firefox
  3. Update the Java plugin to the latest version.

You can get the drop down list by either right-clicking on the back/forward buttons, or holding down the left button until the list appears.

If you want the drop-down arrow you can add it with the Back/forward dropmarker add-on - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/backforward-dropmarker

That was fast! Thanks so much for the help! You are both awesome! That was so easy that I feel stupid for not knowing about it! I should have asked this a few days ago after installing update. I will definitely ask more questions here.
