For years I have used a self-written html file as a home page on various browsers. FF4 accesses the file, displays the header, but the page remains blank. Can this be corrected?

Did you try right click on the page and select 'View Page Source'?

Maybe you have an error in the HTML code that prior versions ignored.

You can also check the "Firefox > Web Development (or Tools) > Error Console" for (security) errors.
