Firefox used to display the URL of the web page I was visiting. Now it only displays whichever words I typed into the location bar. This problem started after I removed Bing as default search. I also no longer have the small search box on the right of the location bar. please help

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
