when I type words into the http box I get Yahoo in German, and I want Google in English. How do I change that? (my IP address is in Germany)

I am on the run from Chrome, and have just installed Windows 7 (64bit version). I have the Google search box (top right) as well as the Navigation toolbar - if I type some words into the Nav Toolbar the options are given to me in Yahoo Germany, and I can find no way of changing that at all. I don't use Yahoo, and I want to go to a UK or a US site. No add-ons are enabled. The PC is in Germany (and therefore has a German IP address)

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
