I would like a menu bar. I had one, now its gone. If I had a menu bar I would right click and see what other tool bars are available. How can I turn on a menu bar?

Remove Search Toolbar 1.2 by clicking the orange Firefox button, go to Add-ons, then Extensions.

You can right click a blank part of the Tab Bar and go to Customize to see/add/remove toolbars and buttons. Either drag them into the panel which opens, or drag them out. You can also rearrange the layout by moving elements around while that panel is visible.

If you're looking for the menu bar with the text links which was default in the previous versions, you need to right click a blank part of the Tab Bar again and then click the top option called "Menu Bar". However, it will remove the orange Firefox button if you do.

Firefox 3.6+ versions have a feature to allow the user to hide the Menu bar. Firefox 3.6 doesn't have the orange Firefox button, that is new in Firefox 4.0 versions.

Hit the Alt key to temporarily show the Menu bar, then open View > Toolbars and select Menu bar, so it has a check-mark.
The F10 can also be used on most PC's to temporarily reveal the Menu bar.
