Title... This seems to be a rather widespread error though, if you look at the statistics: https://crash-stats.mozilla.com/products/Firefox

The crash appears when closing Firefox. I already tried to uninstall Visual Studio but that changed nothing.

i had similar trouble...resolve for me was to upgrade internet explorer to ver 8
