Hi, I am trying to change gamma correction (or brightness, or contrast) ON-THE-FLY as I encounter different pictures in IE9 .. I guess this would be a plugin, something that would not change the gamma or contrast for the monitor. I think I have encountered this once on a computer where the LEFT-BUTTON of the mouse was pressed and then dragged through a range of gamma.

Is there such a thing? What is this dynamic dragging through gamma or contrast called? "windowing?" THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.
You can disable color management to test that.
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the about:config page to disable Color Management.
You need to close and restart Firefox to make the change effective.
