Normally when logging in to a site my password is shown as a dots. But in this installation only, the actual characters of the password are shown. This happens every time I log in regardless of the site (mail, blog, forum) I'm using Firefox 4.0.1. I also use Firefox 3 and 4 on other computers, but this is the only one giving me trouble. ¿How can I fix this?

Sounds that you have an extension or security software that unhides that text by changing the type from password to text.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

Thanks, i checked the installed add-ons and turns out it really was an add-on. Apparently it was installed by my brother and then he forgot about it.
