Can I set the "main location bar" on Fire Fox to NOT use Yahoo... I hate Yahoo's format. I know I can use the upper bar, but I want to use either one.

When one opens Fire Fox to home page/screen a main search bar appears in the middle of the screen. If one uses that they get results from Yahoo. I want NOT to use Yahoo at all... how do I change this setting. I know I can use the upper bar, but I want to use either bar.

I want the Fire Fox home page when I open Fire Fox... but I do not want it to use Yahoo as the search engine on either search bar location and am seeking the answer on how to reset the center bar - the one that is displayed in the center of the screen.

Do the following please.

  1. In the location bar at the top, type about:home and hit Enter.

  2. Next, click the Firefox button, go to Options | Options | General.

  3. Make sure it says "Show my home page" in the dropdown menu at the top.

  4. Click the button called "Use Current Pages" to set the home page to the one you have on the screen.
