My pc froze and I had to force close it and firefox terminated unexpectly. Now when I try to start firefox it comes up with the window with the choice to restore or start a new session. However when i click either one, it still will not reload. The crash report window comes up with the choice of restart or quit, if i choose restart it takes me back to the restore or start new session again window. If I choose quit, it just quits. I have tried deleting and reinstalling firefox but this does not help. The same thing just happens.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

If you see files sessionstore-##.js with a number in the left part of the name like sessionstore-1.js then delete those as well.
Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note).

Thanks for the info, in the end I did not need it, somehow firefox corrected itself without me doing anything, not sure how though
