How can I set Firefox to start using a 32-bit kernal? Some Apps are telling me to restart Firefox in 32-bit mode to continue processing on site. How do I initially start Firefox in 32-bit mode and not have to restart and re-acquire connection again.
PC is iMac using Mac OS X ver. 10.6.8, 64-bit Kernal and Extensions = NO I would prefer to leave this option alone until I upgrade to "Lion"

On a Mac, Firefox 4 versions and later are a 64 bit application.
Not all plugins support 64 bit and if not then you need to start Firefox in 32 bit mode to use that plugin.
- Close Firefox
- Start the Finder and open the Applications folder
- Right click or control-click the Firefox.app icon
- Select "Get Info"
- Select or Deselect "Open in 32-bit mode"
- Close the "Firefox Info" window
- Restart Firefox

You're welcome
I have followed cor-el's directions but there is no option at all to deselect or select "open in 32 bit mode" or 64 after clicking "Get info". I'm on OS x 10.5.8 and just don't see that option?? Any help appreciated! I have Intel Core 2 Duo so have 64 bit but flash is not working correctly for some sites I use and I keep getting all sorts of action script errors. Have investigated ad nauseum all flash related problems but get nowhere. Adobe flash is updated to version 10,3,181,14 (in system Preferences - its listed there??) but in FF says I have version 10,3,181,14 (debug version - which I want to get rid of!) . I had previously installed 10.3.183.7 but removed it. Am now trying to see if changing to 32 bit mode will work for older sites. I am not a tech person & just google & read. Want to try to install 32 bit mode flash version IN browser (FF) to see if this will help but again, have no idea why select mode option not there for me at all? Also deleted some Jave scripts from searching problem and not sure about html issue? Are these related to flash?
