We have decided to move to using only Firefox and have version 4.0.1, running Windows 7-64 bit, and the instructions on the help for Firefox does not give the instruction on how to save IE favorites from a file into Firefox. It only give you the option to import the favorites directly. Is there another way to import a favorites file into Firefox? I have looked in all the menu options and can not find a way.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File
