Firefox6 can not determine which site I want to visit

As I wrote when I update from 3 to 6 firefox can not determine which site I want to go when I write "University of Irvine" it redirect me to Google.com not to "www.uci.edu/" but in Firefox3 I automatically redirected to "www.uci.edu/" I change default search engine from "Yahoo" to "Google" via "About:Config" but make no change to other settings

Please help me solve this issue .
