Can not install update from 6.0 to 6.0.1 [SOLVED!]
I keep getting the dialog that tells me to make sure no other instances of FF are running and to try again. No other instances are running, checked all processes, have rebooted several times.

Solved! Was a dispute with ZoneAlarm. I shutdown ZA and did the update. When I restarted ZA I started getting complaints from it that 6.0.1 wasn't 6.0 (!?!), so I clean reinstalled ZA AND Firefox. At that point ZA just wouldn't allow FireFox internet access. I found that ZA did not add an entry in it's Application Control for 6.0.1. Once I manually added it and set the permissions, things seem back to normal.

Well, just went to 6.0.2 with the same issues. It seems *ZoneAlarm and Firefox are not playing together, and to my untrained eye, I'm suspecting it's having to do with ZA's "virtualization" feature. Hopefully someone with a lot more technical experience than I (that wouldn't take much!) will look into it.

Just updated to 7.0.1 and it seems to have gone painlessly.. If you use "Billeo", upgrade it first. Latest version for Windows is compatible with 7.0.1.. If you're running ZoneAlarm Extreme Security, Right-click the icon in the system tray and select "show monitor". Next click the center pane marked "Internet". On the next ZoneAlarm screen, click "OFF" to the right of "Web Security" and "OFF" to the right of "Browser Virtualization". Proceed to update Firefox in the normal manner. Once 7.0.1 is up and running, go back to ZoneAlarm and select "ON" for "Web Security" and "Browser Virtualization". Then click the "x" in the upper right corner to return ZoneAlarm to the system tray.
