When I navigate to my favorites folder it only lets me select one at a time? I have hundreds to import. How can I do the whole folder??? Control/select & shift/select won't work to select the list.

My old computer was backed up online including favorites. I downloaded them onto the new computer but firefox won't let me select more than one at a time with either the import or restore functions.

Export the Favorites in IE to an HTML file and import that file in Firefox.

  • Export the favorites in IE to an HTML file (bookmarks.html): File > Import and Export
  • Import the HTML file in Firefox: Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import HTML: From File

The files I have are .url. Will they work at all?

That is how MS saves the favorites in IE. Each favorite is stored in a separate .url file. If Firefox doesn't import the IE favorites then best is to export them in IE.
