When i start typing my user id in yahoo sign-in page, it displays the full id in a box - like how in the mail compose section we get a display of the user id when we type the start letter. I do not want this to happen. How can I disable this option ? I have already set the option of remember user id and password to no.

It is your cache that is giving you that text, clear it.

Try this one too:

To completely remove your autocomplete from Firefox, press Ctrl+Shift+Del. In the "Clear Recent History" dialog that opened, UNTICK everything EXCEPT the "Form & Search History" checkbox, and click the Clear Now button.
