Firefox doesn't remember the last used folder for downloading. How can I fix this?

I like Firefox to ask my where I would like to save my downloadings. I understand this is easily arranged by going to General and selecting "Always ask where I want to save files".

I'd even like Firefox to remeber last used folder for downloading. I mean when the dialogue box for selecting folder opens, I'd like to see last used folder instead of some default folder.

Since you have already selected "Always ask where I want to save files":

  • Firefox will first open the Last Used Folder that was selected for Download, the last time you saved a file
  • When it opens the previous Download Location's folder, now you can specify wherever you want to Save the current Download.

Check and tell if its working.

It seems to work fine when I choose to directly save a file but when I choose to open the file first and then save it, the download dialogue box will always open with "save in downloaded files [mac] folder" as default.
