Why is it that EVERY single time I close Firefox, and I say CLOSE Firefox, an error message pops up that the program quit unexpectedly. I'm the one that closed it! This problem never happened prior to the automatic updated to version 7.0 and it's extremely annoying. Then when trying to view Crash IDs, it says everything is perfectly fine and the program has never crashed.

Try to use "Firefox/File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the title bar.
