Where is the import wizard in Firefox 8.0?
I still use Safari a lot. I'd like to import my Safari bookmarks to Firefox. I've exported my Safari bookmarks to my desktop, but I can't find the import wizard in Firefox 8.0. It's not under File, and I can't make it appear by clicking Bookmarks, all Bookmarks, either. Suggestions?

Thank you! That worked. I didn't think to hover over those icons to see what they were for.

You can find the Import menu entry in the Bookmarks Manager (Library)
- Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks > Import & Backup > Import Data from Another Browser
The import & backup link does not appear when I click on show all bookmarks.
I deleted my old Safari bookmarks this morning. Then I deleted Firefox and downloaded it again - hoping that the fresh installation would solve the problem. It didn't.
When I click show all bookmarks, I get bookmarks toolbar, bookmarks menu, and unsorted bookmarks in the library popup. the import & backup link does not appear in any of those. I clicked through all the upper buttons (Firefox, File, Edit, View, etc.) I could not find it there either.
I'm using a MacBook Pro with OSX10.6.8.
Are you sure you've seen the import & backup link in Firefox 8 for Mac?
Other suggestions?
That item can be found in the Bookmarks Manager on the Toolbar with the Back and Forward buttons.
At the top of the Bookmarks Manager there are 3 buttons (Organize, Views, Import & Backup) on the toolbar next to the Back and Forward button.
- The first button is the Organize button with basic edit menu items for bookmarks
- The second button is the Views button that allows to change the sort order for viewing purposes (doesn't sort permanently).
- The third button is the Import & Backup button that allows to backup and restore a JSON backup and import and export an HTML backup and import bookmarks from other browsers.
Hover each button to see the tooltip or click each of them to see what they do.
