How do I STOP search.yahoo.com from opening when I type in a partial web address in my address bar?

I do not have yahoo anywhere on my computer. I have removed as a search engine long ago. It used to be that when you typed in a partial address in the address bar, it would autofill or come up blank etc, but NOT open the yahoo search website result page. If I have to find another web browser to get away from yahoo I will. I simply refuse to have my personal choices overridden by an unwanted form of SPAM.

Check the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page.

You can modify the pref keyword.URL on the about:config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or Google's "Browse By Name".
