My computer froze upon the latest update of Firefox, now the Mozilla site says Firefox will not run on my Mac, which has OS X 10.5.8 and a G4 processor, am I obsolecent?
I have been running Firefox 3.xx for several years, no problem. When I last restarted my computer it automatically installed updates since the last restart and froze my computer, I got a box in 4 languages telling me to shut it off with the power button, which I did. Afterwards firefox would not start, so I uninstalled it and went to the Mozilla website via Safari and attempted to re-install, only to be told that my computer is not compatable. It asks for OS X 10.5 which I have. My machine is an emac with a G4 processor.

Firefox 3.6.x is the last available from Mozilla for PPC Macs.

For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4+ versions, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 .
