Right click on any file of the same type. Choose open with... from the menu then select Choose default program... , in the dialog box un-check Always use the selected program to open this type of file".

Hi, thanks for the response but this does not solve my problem. When I right click on the link to the PDF file on a web page, I get only options related to the link (Open link in new tab; open link in new window; bookmark link, etc.) not options related to actions for the PDF file.
