Let's see if you can find your original profile: # type about:support into the location bar (same as help > troubleshooting information...) # click on open containing folder, which will bring up your current profile # check your bookmarkbackups folder to see dates of .json backups of bookmarks Go up one level to the profiles directory and check the bookmarkbackups folder in each profile to see if you find where you were before you had the problem. If you find a profile you want then you want to bring up that profile with the Profile Manager.
