The mentioned proxy is from an expired proxy subscription, but I cannot get past this dialogue box to do anything inside settings. In depseration, I removed Foxy Proxy by deleting it from programs using file explorer. This error message just keeps looping. I am beginning to wonder if I need to delete FF and start again? Anyone else have this problem or know of a patch?

Update: Just upgraded to Firefox 9.0.1 thinking/hoping it would resolve the issue. No luck...still getting this error loop where I cancel the proxy login, and it simply asks again. No way to use the browser or access any tools to turn something off.

Check the connection settings.

If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select "No Proxy" if the default "Use the system proxy settings" setting doesn't work.

See "Firefox connection settings":
