Tabs do not reload on restarting

I'm not sure what's going on and cannot isolate a specific setting causing this. I'm using 2 extensions that seem relevant (Tab Mix Plus and TabGroups Manager), no other extensions I'm using seem to have functions that would affect tab restart/reload behaviour - list at end.

When I restart Firefox, tabs reappear correctly but tab contents aren't being reloaded. They only reload when I actually click on them.

I can't think of, or find, an applicable option either in options, add-on options, or about:config, that might explain this. Help requested!

Other add-ons in use: compatibility reporter, customisable shortcuts, firegestures, multiple tab handler, nightly test tools, restartless restart, vertical tabs

Disable both tab extensions and see if that fixes the problem. If it does then re-enable ONE extension and see if the problem re-appears. If it doesn't then disable it and enable the other one. If the problem doesn't appear then it may be a case of the combination of extensions that is causing the problem.
