Is there option to open a single tab of private browsing without closing all normal browsing windows?

I googled my question and found a similar question with an answer, but the link to the add-on was disabled by an admin (anyone tell me why?).

I want to have a single tab of private browsing opened when I do my banking. I want other tabs to be normal ones (cnn, reddit, etc.) so I can login without hassle. When I click "start private browsing" all tabs close... It makes me very irritated that this simple option doesn't exist.

Sorry, that isn't possible - it's all tabs/windows or nothing with Private Browsing.

See this - http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Private+Browsing
Private Browsing doesn't have anything to do with security when connected to a secure website for doing online banking.

Here's something you can do. Download another browser, like Aurora, and just use Private Browsing on that.
