I tried to reload the video driver but didn't help with the flickering of cursor over the dropdn menu's, mostly with the bookmarks. I have to guess where the last seen words of the list were and just click as it keeps disappearing then back for a flick then gone and so on as I move the cursor down the bk mark list. Argh.....

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
