firefox adds =bc1 to my home page and so does not use my username and password

my homepage is http://my.yahoo.com/atm?suid=40769041&_signin=1

firefox adds =bc1 to the end of the location when it loads. Instead of taking me to my homepage (it has my username and password stores) it takes me to the generic yahoo page, and I have to sign in manually.

It is Yahoo who is doing the redirection on that link if you are not logged on:

Status: HTTP/1.1 302 Found
Location: /atm?suid=40769041&_signin=1&_bc=1

Make sure that you keep Yahoo cookies. Websites remembering you and automatically log you on is stored in a cookie.

  • Create an allow cookie exception (Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: Exceptions) to keep such a cookie, especially for secure websites and if cookies expire when Firefox is closed.

Make sure that you do not run Firefox in Private Browsing mode.

Do not use Clear Recent History to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"

Clearing "Site Preferences" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, pop-up windows, software installation, and passwords.
