When moving the cursor over links, photos, igoogle apps or other active content, it causes the page to flash "black". Firefox runs fine in safe mode. This is a fresh Firefox install with no addons.

Try to disable hardware acceleration.

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > General > Browsing: "Use hardware acceleration when available"

If disabling hardware acceleration works then check if there is an update available for your graphics display driver.
