I am trying to access web pages that require Java, and although I have the latest version of Java and Firefox installed and plugin enabled the web pages are issuing error messages stating Java is nt installed, the same pages work ok on IE, so the issue is between Firefox and Java.

Can you please go into Start, then Control Panel, then Add or Remove programs. Uninstall all versions of Java there (old versions of Java left over from other installations can cause problems.

Then download and install http://javadl.sun.com/webapps/download/AutoDL?BundleId=62313. Does that help your issue?

Also, I noticed you are using a very out of data version of Flash, Download and install the latest version http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/flashplayer/current/licensing/win/install_flash_player_11_plugin_32bit.exe

Thanks, uninstalling Java did it, looks like I had two versions on the machine !
