I've upgraded to Firefox 12, but my home page still says I'm out of date. I've followed the links to restore the default home page, but it doesn'y work.

When I select Firefox, a green flag says I am on an out of date version. I've upgraded to Firefox 12, and followed the links to restore the default home page, but it doesn't work

This - http://www.google.com/firefox - is the old Firefox Start Page used by the Firefox 3.6 and earlier versions of Firefox. I think that Google assumes that you are using an older version of Firefox, as they hard-coded that "upgrade" message into that page - all versions of Firefox see that message.

Starting with the Firefox 4 version, Firefox is using a "local" Start Page with the address of about:home. It looks similar to the old Start Page, but it isn't exactly the same.

Your User Agent says you are still running Firefox 3.6, so let's try this.

Open up internet Explorer (make sure firefox is closed). Go to www.getfirefox.com. Click Download Now, then click "Run". Let the installer download and run through the install. Then you can close IE, open firefox and you should be up to date.

If you still get the issue with your home page, click the firefox button, then options, and reset the home page to default one more time. You should be all good to go then :)
