If my computer fails, there’s no guarantee that MicrosOff backups will restore to a new one. So I want to make separate “copy” backups of useful data. I copy my “Bookmarks” to an MsWeird file regularly, but the password software won’t allow me to do this.

passwords are stored in the key3.db & signons.sqlite files inside your profile folder (you have to backup both of them together!). or you can also use the Password Exporter extenstion to achieve your goal.

 C:\Work\Xl\filename.xls

What is the path to the file which keeps a record of my internet passwords?

Your profile folder uses a path containing both your Windows username and a randomized folder name, so no one here knows exactly what it is. Please open one of the above articles on how to find your profile folder and follow the method described there.
