I am going to have some work on my computer and am taking it to a local store. Please I would like how to I lock my browser so it does not show my passwords for all my accounts? (there are no real biggies saved) I would just prefer that they did not have the ability to snoop. Also if my O/S is upgraded does this delete my browser history / saved passwords in Firefox? (I'm not concerned about other browsers) Thanks in advance

Gekose oplossing

you can protect the password store of firefox by setting a master password.

if your data is still there after an OS upgrade depends on how they are doing it - to be safe you might want to back up your profile on a usb stick or elsewhere before you hand over your pc - see Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles
