Just upgraded from firefox 3... to 12.0 and I already have other machines running 12 with firefox sync. So on the new upgraded copy I pull down on tools/setup sync... and a window pops up with two buttons, 'Create a new account' and 'I have an Account'. The I have an account doesn't do anything ?

Do you have any suggestions ?

Just uninstall your firefox completely by looking here : Uninstall Firefox

Then, download the latest version and install it and see if it works because I think directly upgrading from 3 to 12 may be a problem.

No, that's not the reason. I'm having the same problem on one machine that runs 12.0 and has always been upgraded with each version.
