RE - Firefox 12

I get an update notice. The details specify that the updated Firefox will **NOT** work with AVG Safe Search.

I should not apply this update. It will make a security measure useless. This is unacceptable.

Sincerely,

Barry Karas

Hi Barry, the AVG Safe Search add-on has been discontinued by AVG and will not work with newer versions of Firefox or Chrome. However, AVG has a new free product named AVG Secure Search that you could install instead. Please see this article and download link: AVG Safe Search Support For Firefox 13 and AVG Secure Search. Does that work? I haven't tried it myself.

Hi - the AVG Safe Support link just takes you to a page which directs you to download AVG Secure Search. Unfortunately, I get an error message when trying to download AVG Secure Search: "An internal error has happened. The installer will be closed now."

I have the pay version of AVG, which I really like; and would like to be protected on Firefox, as I am on Chrome. I'm going to keep looking for a solution.

Thanks -
