On facebookk in FF, why are there any number of buttons that simply will not do anything?

No error message appears. And there are no problems when using IE.

This just seems bizarre. The only site I'm having a problem when using Firefox is Facebook. Here is an example of what is not working.

I click on the facebook button "+1 add a friend" and nothing happens

But if I do the same when in IE, the box morphs into a box that says "one friends request sent" (or something close to that.)

Another example is clicking on chat will bring up a list of people online in IE, and I can begin a chat.

In FF, nothing happens at all. I don't even get a flicker of my screen.

Yes, adding facebook.com to the cookie exceptions (in addition to www.facebook.com that was already there) did the trick.

How come when I searched for that earlier solution it did not come up? It mentions facebook in the text but not in the title.

I'm glad you already knew about it Tyler so you could direct me to it. Thank you.

Does anyone know what caused this? I haven't been on facebook for months, so it could have been an upgrade that occurred while I was gone.

This seems to be something that happened recently, possibly in the past day or two and it is seeming more like a Facebook change than anything. We are tracking it and keeping track of causes and solutions :)

I think Facebook thinks that is true too. Just before I added the additional cookie, I had tried to like a picture. This time I got an error message (1st one) that said "this is a known problem and we are working on it. go back." Or something like that. Which means they already were doing something because it intercepted my click instead of doing nothing at all.
