For the last week and a half, I have been able to connect to gmail but not to my google calendar. I found some suggestions to clear recent history of cookies and cache, along with setting "custom settings for history" under tools. That worked for two days, but now nothing. Tonight, my gmail wouldn't connect either. I reset Firefox completely, and now my gmail is back, but still no calendar. So frustrating! Can anyone help?

Try to disable SPDY by setting the network.http.spdy.enabled pref to false on the about:config page.

You can also check if there are other network.http.* prefs that do not have the default value and appear bold and reset those to the default value via the right-click context menu.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
