Using http://www.domain.com#name problem

more options

I am creating a wordpress single page theme.

Its not 100% single page due to the fact i am using its own page for the blog page.

The problem is when coming from the www.domain.com/blog page to the http://www.domain.com/#name it scrolls to the bottom of the screen.

This only happens within firefox and no other browser.

The weird thing is... its not within all the names, someone of the hash links work and others scroll to the bottom.

Can you post a URL to a page demonstrating the problem?

Two general thoughts:

(1) It could be a timing problem: Firefox may be attempting to navigate to the element before it exists in the page.

(2) If you use any scripts that change the physical location of the anchor tag relative to the top of the page, Firefox may fail to recompute the new location and scroll instead to the original location. E.g., anchors on bottom half of page don't work - mozillaZine Forums
