I have 2 machines (a laptop and desktop) both with problems with FF crashing very regularly. Both are running Linux Mint X64 13 Mate, FF 17.0.0 in channel and one also has 17.0.1 downloaded from the site and installed to /opt/firefoxd but not linked to the FF in /usr/bin/ so I could do a little trouble shooting. Previous to a round of updates that included going from FF 16 to 17 on the system there was no problems. I have tried removing my profile and starting fresh, and changing flash to "Click to play" in the config of FF to see if that was the problem.

Well snap I downloaded 16.0.2 from the older repository here, installed it to /opt/firefox16/ and it crashed also. Is there any way for me to get a more detailed info from FF as to what is causing the crash? Could it be a problem with OpenJRE?
