Everytime I choose a web-site I get this drop down thin bar saying allow or X. I hit Allow and than I start to choose different articles to read and that bar appears again & again saying allow or X. What is it and how can I get rid of it?

Please provide a screenshot of that thin bar and the message.
any chance you are using the NoScript extension?

It is best to use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed a maximum file size of 1 MB.
