Firefox 19.0 Crashing in Windows 8
I recently got a new computer with Windows 8. One of the first things I did was download Firefox. However, Firefox has been crashing frequently. Sometimes it will crash several times in a row, either upon starting the browser or after a very short amount of surfing. Other times it will allow me to surf for a while without a problem.
I have read through some of the other similar topics. I have disabled hardware acceleration and removed extensions. I tried installing an earlier version of Firefox (16.1) and the problem persisted.
Here are my most recent crash reports:

I don't really want to change browsers, so any help would be appreciated.

hello, unfortunately this seems to be a crash that is appearing in firefox 19 on windows 8 with AMD Radeon HD 6XXX/7XXX graphics cards - developers are investigating the causes of it...
the best option probably is to downgrade to the to the former version at the moment until this gets sorted out: Install an older version of Firefox ftp://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org/firefox/releases/18.0.2/win32/
the auto-update in firefox 18 for the affected systems is now disabled and will be turned back on when a fix is available.
Firefox has been up and running perfectly for at least 8 hours after downgrading. Problem solved - thank you very much!
