I am getting below error while trying to import .pfx file.

The PKCS # 12 operation failed for unknown reasons.

The same .pfx file is working fine in all other browsers. Please let me know if there is any issue with firefox regarding client certificates (x509)

Which version of Firefox are you getting this error with?

And is it possible to give a link to the .pfx file here so others can test?

I had this problem too. I simply stop firefox, remove the cert8.db file from the ~/.mozilla/firefox/xxxxx.default directory and restart firefox (20.0). It recreates the db file and it was possible to import the pkcs #12 file.

I only don't know what could be other consequences. Till now, it seems that I didn't loose anything.
