How can I set different language input for different tabs - e.g., Japanese input for one tab, and English for another

I use various online dictionaries and search engines for translation work, and need to input in Japanese in some windows, and English in others. When I switch input language on my keyboard, it affects all the tabs, which is a hassle. IE can handle different languages in different tabs - how about Firefox?

Sorry, Firefox doesn't have that capability.
