I have recently bought a new PC and installed Firefox on it and updated it to Firefox 20 but I am missing the tab page option which I used to find really useful.

How do I turn this feature on please. i have read all your advice about opening a new tab and clicking on the icon on the top right hand side of the page with 9 dots in it, but this Icon is simply not there!

When I open a new tab it goes straight to my home page, is this why the 9 dot icon doesn't appear? If so how do I set the new tab to be blank when opened?

See this article about the New Tab page (about:newtab):

You can check the browser.newtab.url pref(s) on the about:config page to se if it has the default about:newtab value.
