Constant signing problems
I have been a member of this forum for several years and doing that time I have had the worst problem of logging into this forum imaginable.
It certainly has nothing to do with remembering my username and password since I use LastPass. A password manager which saves all user information and immediately logs into a visited website.
This is what occurred tonight as on other occasions:
LastPass logs me into this forum but I am notified my user information is incorrect. I try again, clean the cache and try again, change browser and try again all to no avail. Finally I request and create a new password, refresh the browser and try to log in again. Yet again, 'wrong username or password.' I closed and reopened the browser and as soon as I opened this page LastPass successfully signed me in! Why? I do not have the slightest clue!
I came to the forum to get answers to another ongoing issue however I decided to deal with this first. I had the same problem when I used my older computer and the ame is occurring on this new one. I hope you can recommend a solution to this ongoing and aggravating problem.
Thank you,

Does it work if you are in Private Browsing mode?
If clearing cookies doesn't work then it is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.
Cor-el,
I have not tried logging in while in Private Browsing mode but shall do so the next time I have difficulty.
I deleted 2 cookies.sqlite files (no -jounal) which indicated they were modified today. If this means these were newly recreated today, will deleting to allow new files to be created again really make a difference?
In any case, thank you for your assistance.
