My antivirus program has a SANDBOX feature, should I run Firefox 22 in sandbox?
I am not familiar with the sandbox feature. Any tips or tricks are appreciated. Also any negative experiences using sandbox. Firefox 22 is my default browser.

Hello David241,
Does it isolate the browser from other system software? For example my anti malware program.
it is possible because probably your anti malware program is from other security company ! but you are correct, better ask Avst for sure.

thank you

It depends...
You probably want to retain some settings between sessions of Firefox, for example, customization you make to the user interface, add-on settings, cookies for sites you want to stay logged in to. If your sandbox allows you to use these features, it's probably a good thing on balance. However, if your sandbox doesn't save your settings, it probably will be very frustrating to use.
Note that some odd issues may arise when you sandbox your browser, unless the sandbox developer has created a solution for them. For example, links to web pages launched from other applications may try to start Firefox outside the sandbox instead of using the running instance of Firefox inside the sandbox.
Why not give it a try and report back on how well it works?
I have tried it. When in use even the firefox desktop icon is sandboxed. So I do not think there is any firefox outside the the sandbox. Cookies appear as they normally do. Avast Pro is the program. The only problem I have encountered is using my Flash Video Downloader sometimes my download goes right thru to my downloads file and sometimes it does not.
I know this question is probably dumb, sandbox isolates the browser from other system components. Does it isolate the browser from other system software? For example my anti malware program. I do not know and do not want to find out the hard way. Perhaps this is a question better asked of my antivirus software company (it is their sandbox).
